Hide the Grub boot menu.
Published - 2020-08-08

For the sake of speed and simplicity I prefer to bypass the Grub boot menu altogether (unless I'm dual-booting, of course).

Open the grub config file

sudo vim /etc/default/grub

and change two settings

GRUB_TIMEOUT="0"
GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE="hidden"

Then rebuild grub

sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

and enjoy the lack of boot menu.

Cheers
